Abstract
Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) is the most
common type of heart disease. Globally, CAD is
the leading cause of death and is predicted to
remain so for the next 20 years. Each year,
approximately 3.8 million men and 3.4 million
women die from CAD. In 2021, it is estimated that
this disease will be responsible for a total of 11.1
million deaths globally. (Mathers CD, et al.,
