Modeling and Identification in a DFIG-WECS in the Presence of Saturation

Abstract
This paper presents the results of the research carried out on the modeling and identification of a wind energy conversion system, using a Doubly Fed Induction Generator with saturation as the main nonlinearity in the generator, with an effect on the dynamic behavior of the system. Starting from the basic model of this type of generator, a new model was developed to describe the effect of the variation of the mutual inductance and,consequently, the effect of this nonlinearity
