Molecular Diagnosis of the Fungus Bipolaris Oryzae that causes Brown Spot Disease on Rice (Oryza Sativa)
Ruaa Kamel Mahmoud, Sabah Latif Alwan , Wejdan Reda Mahmoud
Abstract
This study was conducted to identify the genetic polymorphisms of Bipolaris oryzae that is isolated from rice crop in several portions of Al-Najaf city. One genetic locus covering a portion of the rRNA gene sequences were amplified in
this study. A direct sequencing strategy was performed for the observed PCR amplicons in the amplified genetic locus. Subsequently, a comprehensive phylogenetic tree was constructed in the observed variants to assess the
accurate phylogenetic distances alongside other relative fungal sequences
