Non-Newtonian Blood Flow and the Effect of Slip in an Arterial Network with Several Narrowings
Prabal Pratap Singh, Janaki Prasad, Seema Raghav
Abstract
Using a numerical model to investigate how slip velocity and multiple stenosis affect non-Newtonian
blood flow is the primary focus of this study. Some have suggested instead utilizing the Bingham plastic
liquid model to show that blood does not behave like a Newtonian fluid. The narrowing in the artery
tube is referred to as a "well-known improved generalized artery" due to the fact that it has many
stenosis. To thoroughly investigate the issue, we integrate mathematical and logical procedures. Flow
metrics such as stenosis number, axial distance, slip velocity, and form parameter are used to illustrate
how blood velocity, volumetric flow rate, and WSS fluctuate.
Keywords
Stenosis, slip speed, plastic fluid Bingham, wall shear stress, non-Newtonian, volumetrically flux rate.
