Abstract
Hypercholesterolemia is one of the most prevalent conditions encountered in the medical profession, significantly impacting cardiovascular health. As the number of patients requiring dental implantation grows, it is crucial to understand how hyperlipidemia influences bone metabolism, promotes bone loss, and impedes the osseointegration of dental implants. This case report examines the intricate interactions between hypercholesterolemia and dental implant therapy, emphasizing the necessity for an integrated medical-dental approach to achieve optimal patient outcomes. By focusing on a 32-year-old Hispanic male with hypercholesterolemia undergoing dental implant treatment, we explore the clinical considerations, treatment strategies, and comprehensive care necessary for managing such complex cases.
