Abstract
Obesity comes with higher risk of depression, anxiety, and mental stress. Various studies have found that “bariatric surgery” is the best way to treat “morbid obesity”. However, there are variations in outcome of bariatric surgery on mental health of patients. Comprehensive evaluation of “mental health of patients seeking gastrectomy surgery” is needed as depression may lead to serious outcomes. With the best of our knowledge, there is a lack of studies on “psychiatric outcomes after bariatric surgery in Saudi Arabia”
