Abstract
Manufacturing industries are very much dependent on the strategy which is adopted by the manufacturers to improve their performance in such a highly competitive environment. Sustaining the business performance and improving it in continual mode is another matter of concern for the business managers. The primary focus of the proposed technique to improve the production of the company. In spite of this optimized utilization of resources, eliminating wastes and reduction in cycle times are main parameter for proper production. The research is based on lean principle and DMAIC to boost up the production through the identification and elimination of waste. The cycle time for the product is reduced up to 10.6 % and production per shift increase up to 11.9 %. In the same way, production per man is increased up to 11.9 % & lead time reduced to 3.6 %. The different quantitative outcomes, a number of unique resultshave also achievable via improvement activitiesas improvement in 5S culture, increased morale and better understanding of lean methodology
