Abstract
Background: In 2018 cervical cancer was the 2nd leading cause of female death in Indonesia (Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, 2019; WHO, 2020). The factor that causes the high mortality and incidence of cervical cancer in Indonesia is the low coverage of early detection of cancer cervix. Screening with the IVA test method is a cervical cancer preventive effort that can be done for developing countries such as Indonesia (Rahmi et al., 2021). The IVA method is carried out in a simple, practical, cheap and easy way by simply applying acetic acid (vinegar) 3 -5% on the cervix and then observe the changes, where precancerous lesions can be detected when white patches are seen on the cervix (Poli et al., 2015).
