Phytotherapy for Alzheimer’s Disease: An overview on bioactive constituents targeting amyloid plaques and tau protein

Abstract
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is an advanced neurological disease marked by cognitive decline, behavioral changes, and communication issues appearing in elderly populations. The amyloid plaques and neurofibrillary tangles are the main causative agent in AD but still, its etiopathophysiology is incompletely understood.
