Preparation and Evaluation of Amlodipine Besylate as a Fast Dissolving Oral Film

Abstract
Fast dissolving oral films have various advantages over fast dissolving tablets such as flexibility and reduced risk of choking so they are suitable for pediatric, geriatrics and dysphagic patients. The aim of this work was to
prepare and evaluate oral thin films of amlodipine besylate. Eight formulas (F1-F8) were prepared by solvent casting method using HPMC, PVA, PVP K30 and SCMC as film forming polymers.
