Abstract
Proteus species are a prevalent pathogen that can cause life-threatening infections in the community and in healthcare. Globally, the frequency of multidrug resistant Proteus has been increasing, with an estimated 700,000 people dying each year from infections caused by multidrug resistant organisms, with this number anticipated to rise to 10 million by 2050.The present study, aimed to screen the presence of blaSHV and blaCTX-M in the clinical isolates of the Proteus samples.
