Registered Nurses Burnout Predictors: Perception of Workplace Structural Empowerment, Leader’s Empowering Behaviours, Leadership Style, and Organizational Commitment

Abstract
P u rp ose: Burnout is a widespread phenomenon affects nurses worldwide. Nursing burnout is a
deleterious and consequential syndrome that affects not only the individuals, but also the organization
and patients in which those nurses work. The aim of this study is to examine the relationships between
Jordanian registered nurses’ burnout and their perceptions of nurses’ workplace structural
empowerment,their perceptions of leader’s empowering behaviors, leadership styles, and organizational
commitment.
