Abstract
This paper presents the information seeking anxiety of research scholars from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tamilnadu, India with respect to the time spent by the research scholars while accessing resources for their work from library and internet. The survey method is employed to distribute the questionnaires among the research scholars of the University. The acceptable completed questionnaires are received from 246 research scholars. The findings revealed that the time spent on the internet to access resources highly associate with the information seeking anxiety of the research scholars, which clearly proclaims that the research scholars are using internet sources as prime method of gathering information and using it to solve their research problems. The study also revealed that the amount of time spent in library to collect information is not associated with the information seeking anxiety of the scholars
