Review on The Rising Trend of Obesity in India

Abstract
India has experienced a dramatic ascent in the prevalence of obesity although experiencing undernutrition for a long period of time. These progressions have been portrayed by critical country contrasts in overweight rate that differ by gender and regional development levels. As the distance to local towns decreases, metropolitan vicinity prompts further developed livelihoods along with shift in eating habits. Obesity and its negative repercussions have been a significant concern in developing nations due to poor eating habits, sedentary lifestyles and absence of medical care administrations and thus are confronting to high possibility of obesity and its effects (diabetes, heart disease etc.). Obesity has afflicted more than 135 million people in India. Its pervasiveness varies by age, gender, geographic location, socioeconomic position, and other factors. Overweight/Obesity is one of the variables of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs). In order to forestall CVD risk in adulthood, it is important to maintain healthy food habits and lifestyle changes in children and adolescents.
