English is the most widely spoken languages in the world. English is a foreign language for Indians; still it occupies a unique position in the Indian educational system. It continues to be a major language in Education system and having a prestigious position in our society. With globalization, it has become important to communicate in English to be successful in education and professional life. English language is an influential force not only in educational system, jobs but also for business communication, economics, and trade. In India still in most parts of the country teaching is done in vernacular language only, as it is spoken and in common use of that region. For non native speakers it is still a challenge to communicate in English. In almost all the professional courses the medium of instruction is English. Non native speakers face problem in learning the concepts as all the subjects are taught in English. In the late Twentieth century when English began to emerge as the global language, the Indian classroom was transformed because of the change in the environment of the learner.
