SOCIAL ADJUSTMENT AND ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT OF SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

Abstract
Adjustment is a popular expression used by the people in day to day life. It gives peace and harmony in home, school and society. Every human being has adjustment at every stage in his life. That is why the adjustment is natural and also every human being adjust with the environment prevailed in the society. In the same way we have to know that how the students are having adjustment. The main purpose of this study was to find out the social adjustment of Secondary school students. The study was conducted on a sample of 100 students studying 8th class in Government and Private Schools of Guntur District. For data collection, the investigator had used questionnaire consists of 40 questions, constructed and standardized by the researcher. The collected data was analyzed by using Mean, S.D. and ‟t” values. Results revealed that there is no significant difference in the social adjustment of students.
