Abstract

oriented crystals may be replaced by an equivalent isotropic and homogeneous elastic body, the Voigt and Reuss bounds are exact theoretical results. But, for the case when the anisotropy of the crystal is small, these bounds are not close enough to provide a good estimate for the effective elastic moduli
