Separation and Identification of Secondary Active Compounds from Iraqi Cyperus rotundus

Abstract
In this study, a number of secondary compounds from the tubers of the Iraqi Cyperus rotundus (nutgrass) plant are separated and diagnosed using High Liquid Performance Chromatography (HLPC) after conducting the acid hydrolysis process of petroleum ether extract and chloroform and the ethanolic extract to obtain phenols. It has appeared to contain many phenolic compounds,where the compounds (Rutin, kampferol, catechin,) are diagnosed with a retention time of (5.861,
4.967,4.034), respectively
