Mulyadi Nur , Fatmawati Sabur
Abstract
Congestion often occurs in big cities, especially those that do not have good or adequate public transportation or that
there is an imbalance between road needs and population density. Congestion is often found in big cities in developing
countries such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Makassar and other cities. Traffic jams are caused by the increasing number of
motorized vehicles as we know, lots of vehicles passing by on the road, both private and public vehicles, it's no wonder
the increasing number of road users is not decreasing day by day, but is increasing, as happened in the capital city of
Sulawesi South namely Makassar at this time. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of service
performance and its influence on the movement system in Corridor 3 Campus 2 PNUP to Campus 2 PIP Makassar. This
research uses descriptive analysis technique method. The results of this study indicate that several service performance
criteria have been effective, such as quality of service based on travel speed, level of fleet availability, vehicle age, low
cost or affordable rates, safety or security and comfort, and timeliness of service based on travel time for each segment
and service time. While those that have not been effective include the capacity and number of fleets, load factor,
frequency, distance between stops, operating ratio, regularity, orderliness, comprehensiveness, accessibility, reliability,
ease of information, waiting time, time between, vehicle stopping time, travel time.
