Abstract
Objective: To research the causes of pancreatitis in biliary tract illness patients who have undergone endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). Methods: From March 2018 to March 2023, 480 patients at the Mayo Hospital in Lahore, Pakistan, received ERCP for biliary tract illnesses. The clinical data from these patients were retrospectively examined. Depending on whether post-ERCP pancreatitis (PEP) manifested itself in the patients, they were split into 2 groups: a study group (75 patients with PEP), a control group (405 patients without PEP), and their medical preliminary data as well as the conditions during the procedure were gathered and compared. A nomogram prediction model was produced after the variables connected to PEP were examined using a logistic regression model. The calibration and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve were used to assess the forecasting model's efficacy
