Abstract
In the field of learning a second language, motivation, which plays a crucial role in the process, has long
been studied. The belief that "without sufficient motivation, even individuals with the most remarkable
abilities cannot accomplish long-term goals, and neither are appropriate curricula nor good teaching
sufficient on their own to ensure student achievement" is based on the significance of motivation. The
purpose of this descriptive-correlational study is to determine whether JHS students' English language
learning motivation in the new normal is significantly influenced by teacher motivation.270 junior high
school students and 27 teachers took part in this. This study's findings suggested that JHS students'
levels of English language learning motivation in the new normal are significantly influenced by the
level of teacher motivation. Students' motivation to learn languages is moderately correlated with or
affected by teachers' perspectives on the significance of motivational strategies. It also emphasized that
the school should take into consideration the skills of the teacher and language teaching strategies for
motivating students to learn English because this is a requirement for students to finish their degrees
and improve their English proficiency for professional competitiveness in the future
