The Application of Electro-photonic Imaging (EPI) / Gas Discharge Visualization (GDV) in Homeopathy: A Systematic Review.
Dr Jasmine, Dr Ruchi Biswas
Abstract
Background: The Electrophotonic Imaging (EPI) or Gas Discharge Visualization (GDV) device is a non-invasive tool used to capture the bioelectrical activity of the human body. This systematic review aims to evaluate the application and efficacy of EPI/GDV in the homeopathic field.
Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted in databases such as PubMed, Research Gate, Academia, Google Scholar etc, using keywords like “Electrophotonic Imaging (EPI) and homeopathy” “Gas Discharge Visualization (GDV) and homeopathy,”
Results: Four studies met the inclusion criteria. The studies varied in design, sample size, and outcomes measured. Most studies reported positive correlations between EPI/GDV parameters and homeopathic medicine outcomes.
Conclusion: EPI/GDV shows promise as a tool for evaluating the efficacy of homeopathic treatments. While preliminary findings are encouraging, further research is needed to establish its reliability and clinical utility. The current body of literature is limited.
