The Correlation of Iraqi EFL Intermediate School Students` Vocabulary Learning Strategies with Proficiency

Abstract
The current study investigates the vocabulary learning strategies( VLS) used by Iraqi EFL learners and the correlation with vocabulary proficiency (V). The sample of the study includes 360 students' males and females from Iraqi intermediate level students. the instruments used in the study are vocabulary learning strategies questionnaire ,vocabulary proficiency test constructed by the researcher and vocabulary retention prepared by the researcher
