The Crystallization of the Term Habesha: Between Geographical Connotations and Cultural Element Pressures

Abstract
The Habesha region has evolved into a dynamic arena where various human elements interact, resulting in a political, economic, and social landscape continually shaped by structural factors tied to natural, environmental, and social elements. The strategic and human connotations of the term Habesha are intricately connected to the historical sequence and evolution that has unfolded in the region over time. Notable among the concepts associated with the region are Habesha, Coastal Lands, Zaila Lands, Ethiopia, and Abyssinia (Abissinia). Amidst the interchange of these terms, the region has experienced numerous developments marked by cultural conflicts among various components, spanning from the era of the Aksumite Empire to the period leading up to the Second World War
