The Impact Of Russia-Ukraine War On Indian Stock Market – An Empirical Study

Abstract

The unexpected war between Russia and Ukraine has severely impacted the world economy. It has not only impacted to the stock markets it has also to the lives of the people around the world. India cannot remain isolated. Markets all over the world are still trying to recover from the sudden crash. In this paper we have measured the impact of Russian-Ukraine war on the performance of top 20 Indian companies listed in National Stock Exchange. We used the weekly time-series data of these companies and observed their performance during this five months period. We have calculated the percentage change in the share prices of these companies and tried to figure out the trend of change in their performance using graphs.
