Abstract

The current study attempts to investigate how foreshadowing and flashback are employed in Brontё’s and Woolf’s masterpiece work: Wuthering Heights and Mrs. Dalloway. In that, those concepts, foreshadowing and flashback are intended to be tackled in terms of stylistic study. Foreshadowing is authors 's ability to present an advance hint of what is going to happen later time in the story, whereas; flashback is when author interrupts the chronological order of events to return back to previous time as a good device of adding background information concerning the present moment
