Civil society institutions operate within the realm of environmental protection and the promotion of environmental citizenship among citizens by providing comprehensive information related to the environment. The aim is to identify environmental hazards and subsequently work towards their mitigation. This is done to propagate environmental culture and awareness by acknowledging the severity of environmental issues and the means to engage in resolving them. Thus, ensuring the citizens' well-being by delineating the primary causes of damages threatening both humans and their environment. This is accomplished through awareness campaigns targeting various segments. The higher the environmental awareness among citizens, the more firmly the concept of environmental citizenship is established and nurtured, eradicating the idea of exploitation. This is achieved by bolstering confidence among citizens and others alike to emulate each other. This cultivation leads to what is known as environmental citizenship, guiding citizens to conserve environmental resources and protect the human habitat.
