The geochemical content (I-geo) of the Shatt AL-Shafiya water sediments in the city of Diwaniyah
Mohammed Hamza Gawad AL-Shpli, Raid Kadhim Abed Alasady
Abstract
Water is the basic component of life and the
most important compound of all living
organisms, because its existence is closely
related to the existence of life, as human
activities lead to changes in the natural
properties of water as a result of the increased
use and ease of access to water, because the
aquatic environment, especially rivers, is used as
a site To get rid of waste resulting from various
activities carried out by humans, such as
industry and agriculture (Adewoye, 2010). In
which it may occur, the dissolved salts in the
water are an important characteristic for
evaluating the suitability of water for irrigation
and domestic use and for their direct impact on
soil salinization (Al-Obaidi, 2017).
