Therapeutic treatment and traditional knowledge of Malachra capitata (L.)L.: A Review

Abstract
Malachara capitatamember of Malvaceae is popular straight, underground shrub with 8-9 feet long, is planted as excellent fiber inferior to jute in India, formerly also in Cuba. Plant is mentioned in the traditional system of medicine used in ailments in different part of India as well as world. The plant root and leaves contain enzymes, active compounds (alkaloids) with anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, aphrodisiac, antihelmenthic, and antimicrobial, valuefor health care. The present study deals with the systematic review of Malachra capitataused in antimicrobial properties, therapeutic treatment, traditional knowledge and ethno-veterinary.
