Updated Overview about Management of Pediatric Immune Thrombocytopenia

Abstract
Immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is an autoimmune hemorrhagic disease due to
immune-mediated platelet excessive destruction and inadequate production. the pathogenesis of
ITP is relatively complicated, the definite pathogenesis and cause remain unclear up to present.
More recent evidences suggest that multiple mechanisms contribute to thrombocytopenia in ITP
patients.
