Abstract
The most prevalent areas of malaria in Thailand are in the border provinces, especially in mountainous areas, thick forests, and streams where the Anopheles mosquito breeds. The provinces with the most cases of malaria were the Thai-Cambodian border, the Thai-Myanmar border, and the Thai-Malaysian border with drug resistance. The objectives of this study were to study the use of medicinal plants used in malaria treatment by folk healers and to develop information on local herbs used in malaria treatment.
