VIRTUAL REALITY BASED VISUALIZATION AND INTERACTION OF VOLUME RENDERED MEDICAL IMAGES

Abstract
Virtual reality (VR) technology immerses the user in a computer-generated virtual
environment. It provides a wide spectrum of applications in various fields including education, sports,
industry, architecture, entertainment and so on. This emerging technology has also been found
beneficial in the healthcare system for the virtual visualization and interaction of volume rendered
medical images.
