An Evaluation of Novel Soil Road Stabilization Methods
Tara Prasad Chatterjee, Chandra Sekhar Nayak
Abstract
To improve the socioeconomic conditions of
the 35 percent of Malaysians who live in rural areas, new
roads are essential. However, geographical restrictions
always make it difficult to build roads in rural areas, and
they can also make it expensive and energy-inefficient.
As a result, the environment is negatively impacted even
more. High percentages of fines and high plasticity
indices are found in local soils used to build roadways
intended for light traffic.
