Determining Cracks (Irregularities) in Civil Structure Based on Detection Algorithm
Rahul B. Diwate, Dr. Lalit V. Patil
Abstract
Finding cracks is an important responsibility in keeping track of the condition of structures and making sure
they are safe. The laborious and time-consuming manual crack identification method is hampered by subjective
evaluations of inspectors. Cracking the wall is one of the first signs of damage that is important to conservation
as further exposure will lead to serious environmental damage. Guide testing is a traditional method of cracking
testing. Within the guide test, the crack drawing is manually created, and exclusion criteria are quoted. Because
the hands-on approach depends entirely on professional knowledge and expertise. In this paper, an automated
image detection system has been suggested as a replacement for various traditional processes to automatically
identify cracks using the image processing process..
