Sivananda Reddy Julakanti, Naga Satya Kiranmayee Sattiraju,Rajeswari Julakanti
Abstract
The adoption of multi-cloud strategies has become increasingly prevalent among organizations seeking to leverage the diverse capabilities of various cloud service providers. However, managing security across hybrid environments presents significant challenges due to the complexity and diversity of these infrastructures. This research article explores the strategies for enhancing multi-cloud security, focusing on risk management, data protection, identity and access management (IAM), and compliance adherence. By conducting a comprehensive literature review and analysing case studies from different industries, the study identifies the key security risks associated with multi-cloud deployments and evaluates the effectiveness of existing security frameworks and tools. The methodology involves qualitative analysis of security practices, threat modelling, and the implementation of best practices tailored to hybrid cloud environments. The results indicate that while multi-cloud environments offer flexibility and scalability, they also introduce vulnerabilities related to data breaches, misconfigurations, and inconsistent security policies. The discussion highlights the importance of centralized security management, automation, and continuous monitoring in mitigating these risks. Additionally, the study underscores the necessity of developing standardized security protocols and fostering collaboration among cloud service providers to ensure robust protection across multi-cloud landscapes. The findings provide actionable insights for organizations aiming to secure their hybrid cloud infrastructures effectively.
