Abstract
One in four children in the world is stunted and 90 percent of them live in developing countries. Programs to address malnutrition in children often target mothers as the main subject. This study aims to examine the relationship between community empowerment, especially women, on the incidence of stunting. This research is a literature study by reviewing 22 journals from various countries related to stunting and women’s empowerment as a form of stunting intervention. The results of various literature reviews are used to identify stunting prevention efforts based on community empowerment, especially women. The results of the study found that there was a positive correlation between empowered mothers and the nutritional status and health of children. Empowered mothers and fathers who support women’s empowerment and gender equality tend to have healthier children with better nutritional status. Policymakers need to consider aspects of women’s empowerment in this context to improve the nutritional status of children, especially in preventing stunting
