A Study on Relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Organisational Stability

Abstract
Human beings are gregarious by disposition. Emotions oblige being robust and booming part of being human. They like to express their views/opinions, communication of ideas, share experiences with each other more often. This is because they are emotionally connected with the things they have. The same is applicable in case of products and services. The customer is the king of market. A number of factors influences customers and their buying behaviour and decision-making process. Naturally, it is expected that the manufacturers, producers and service providers should deal with emotional intelligence while approaching the customer in order to understand their perceptions, preferences, choices, and expectations and serve accordingly. The present article aims to explore the relationship between the emotional intelligence and its effect on the organisational stability with the consideration of the psychological and mental balance with the overall working efficiency. The author had conducted primary research by designing the structure questionnaire for identifying their psychology for the work life balance. The sample size remains 100. The Non-probabilistic convenience sampling technique is applied. The various statistical tools such as descriptive statistics, frequency analysis and the chi square test used to prove the objectives. It is found that the maximum number of employees from the IT department with having the post-graduation as their basic qualification. They stay in the urban area. It is observed that total three factors play important role: Emotional Intelligence Appraisal, Benefits of EI on Organisational Stability and Regulation of Emotion. This study will help the organization employers to understand the psychological needs for the employees to bring the efficiency in their work and at the same time improve the organisational stability in the organization. The emotionally literate employees are having better understanding, sense of accountability, stability and flexibility which results in individual to team to organizational performance ultimately leading to organizational sustainability
